TR 05 - Trabecula Chair

Inspired by nature, along with the movement of the flowing form creating into one continuous shape. Inspired by four nature elements in creating the TR05, “Trabecula, Tree Branches, Flow of Air/Liquid, and the Wings of Cicadas Bug. A trabecular bone tissue is a hierarchical, and porous material composed of hard and soft tissue components. The tree branches always have a ”spine” that connects all parts together. The design process is done using various software programs. The design morph into armrest, seating, back, and structure with one entire piece of aluminum which creates an elegant fluidity with an interplay of organic curves. The fabrication process is using cutting edge technology to create it. The aim of creating this chair is challenge ourselves to create as complex geometries in 3D and fabricate them.
