Dream

Dream is a collection of silver-based jewelry, including earrings and rings, inspired by the story of Zhuang Zhou, an ancient Chinese philosopher, who dreamt of a butterfly. In this story, Zhuangzi recounts how he became a butterfly in a dream, fluttering among the flowers, carefree and free. However, when he woke up, he began to doubt whether Zhuangzi dreamed that he was a butterfly or the butterfly dreamed that he was Zhuangzi. "Zhuang Zhou's dream of a butterfly arouses people's thoughts about reality and illusion, life and death, things and me. Therefore, the design of this series of products presents the image of a butterfly that looks like a butterfly but not a butterfly. When worn, it appears as a butterfly from afar, but is not a butterfly when seen up close, but rather a three-dimensional and balanced aesthetic created by the subtle interplay between texture and lines. The Dream collection is designed to express a unique interpretation of human life and death, the real and the unreal. Silver is used as the main material to express the purity of the butterfly's dream, while giving the butterfly delicate forms and rich details to show the beauty and fragility of life. In terms of craftsmanship, the Dream series is made using traditional Chinese wax carving, a purely handmade method to create one-of-a-kind pieces that are more artistically infectious and soulful, and oxidizing the surface of the pieces to produce a color that is different from that of the usual white silver, which makes the pieces come to life.
