SONNENGLAS Gen6 is a portable off-the-grid solar light for people who live without reliable access to electricity. It replaces widely used harmful kerosene lamps and candles in Africa and is a safer, more sustainable and more economic alternative. Its modular design allows for a wide range of use cases, from being used as a study lantern for children or as a mobile torch that fits into one's pocket. Guided by sustainability, simplicity and aesthetics it make solar technology accessible, engaging and also playful. It is unique in considering manufacturing in the design process. It is made in our own Fair Trade certified factory in Africa.
