Crafted from recycled wheat plastic and milkweed floss fabric, Eclosion emphasizes the use of sustainable materials that reduce environmental impact. The wheat plastic offers a biodegradable alternative to traditional wood, minimizing deforestation and carbon emissions. The milkweed floss fabric, sourced from the host plants of monarch butterflies, plays a key role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for the butterflies within the planter. The forms of the modular units are inspired from the form of each stage of monarch butterfly which is egg, caterpillar, chrysalis and butterfly. Also, each unit can be arranged in various configurations, allowing users to customize the planter according to their space and design preferences.
