Half Moon Table

The dual purpose comes with an ‘open- close’, seamlessly space-efficient, and scenario-versatile likewise. The mobile top ranges from ‘crescent’, ‘waxing-moon’, to ‘half-moon’, when merged backwards, coming to ‘roundness’ fruition (the perimeters at 1,800mm are proportionally one second to the leg width at 3,600mm.) Infused in the Orient philosophical heritage of mortise & tenon joint, the craft is specially sourced from North American black walnut and African ebony for stability and sturdiness, with iconic traits of sustainability and renewability which have effectively formed the differentiated characteristic of the ‘half-moon’ style. For a spin onprecision, its eco-conscious fabrication is CNC-processed, via cutting, splicing, and carving.
Unraveled, it is shaped like ‘half-moon’ + ‘full-moon’, completing a dynamic shift of ‘moon-forming’ - from ‘crescent’, ‘waxing-moon’, to ‘half-moon’. When combined whole, it showcases a compelling circularity, filling an all-time blank like no other, across the present-day market.
