Geometric weaves, precious patterns, and sophisticated color combinations are the defining characteristics of Plot, a new series of folding room dividers, designed by Italian-Danish duo GamFratesi for Poltrona Frau. A common accessory throughout the 1950s, the room divider has enjoyed a recent renaissance thanks to its flexibility and practicality. The structure is deliberately minimalist, showcasing the textural richness and conceptual simplicity of the design. The most distinctive detail of the Plot room divider is its playful geometric patterns created using plaited leather (styled in either a round or square motif). The beauty of Poltrona Frau’s most iconic material is conveyed in full by this particular weave and the virtuosity of the horizontal and vertical intersections which create pockets of light. Plot can be styled as a striking statement or as a subtle accent to modify spaces as they evolve and offer just enough privacy when needed. Plot is available in styles with two, three or four panels.
