The wig industry, a $13 billion market, has long lagged behind in digital innovation—burdened by outdated processes, uncertain sizing, mismatched lace tint color, limited product imagery, and costly stylist consultations. Parfait is the first to disrupt this status quo with patented AI technology that accurately captures head shape and skin tone through a simple web-based scan, making high-quality, customized wigs more accessible than ever.
When the Parfait team approached us, their technology was underperforming. Users struggled to complete the AI scan, and the wig customization flow failed to convert. They had built something truly groundbreaking, but poor experience design was holding it back. We partnered with them to reimagine the end-to-end experience.
Our work addressed immediate usability and aesthetic challenges while shaping a long-term vision for the future of wig shopping—one that’s hyper-personalized and fully normalized as part of everyday styling. The new design reflects that vision: sleek, modern, and technical, making the experience intuitive and elevated.
User research revealed an additional key insight: customers wanted to see wigs from all angles and visualize them on themselves to feel confident in their purchase. This inspired a new feature—using geospatial data captured from the same web scan, each user gets a personalized 3D avatar that can model any wig on the site, allowing them to explore styles in a more personal, immersive way.
