The silhouette of this work embraces the body’s curves, while the lower part unfurls with dramatic exaggeration. Along the back, through fabric manipulation techniques simulate the line of a human spine—an intentional gesture of turning the inside out. It speaks to a state of exposure that is both vulnerable and assured, fragile yet armored, like a second skin that protects while revealing. The choice of material—soft yet structured, environmentally sustainable 100% vegan leather—reinforces this tension between resilience and delicacy.
The making process became an exploration of conflict itself: trial after trial of fabric transformation, adjustments from initial research to final form. The work is not only an act of self-expression but also an encounter, a collision between inner consciousness and external material. The design thrives in this disharmony. By layering, modifying, and reshaping what is given, I sought to build a garment that narrates both individuality and contradiction. It embodies a beauty rooted in the comfort and confidence of self-exposure, while simultaneously reflecting a sense of fragility, uncertainty, and the absence of security.
