Premysl Kokes is an architect. In his work, he repaired the torso of the original Liechtenstein castle above Landeskrone, which burned down three times in the 18th century. Unfortunately, in 2017 it caught fire again, and it was when Premysl learned that firefighting is extremely important. However, he also learned that it is not an easy task but a difficult and dangerous hazard.

First, he thought if to run away, leaving everything to the fire, or should try to save what he had spent years building. He chose the second, but he never paid attention to the hiding places of the fire extinguishers like many others. Instead, he found them and extinguished the fire.

He still inhaled smoke and got some burns. This experience was his epiphany. He has paid attention to fire suppression in the buildings he designs ever since but realized that system that would be in plain sight is needed. A beautiful fire extinguisher that one would not have to hide because it would not spoil the interior.

He couldn‘t find anything that matched that needed device, even though he contacted many experts. Premysl has found that his experience was not unique.

No one had thought about firefighting from an ergonomic point of view either. There were other things too. For example, people often suffocate in firefighting and trying to escape from a burning building. Still, there is no combined smoke and fire protection. So in collaboration with the experts he approached, he created a design that responded to his experience and findings.
