The Magnalenz Vacuum Induction Melting (VIM) Furnace represents an intelligent leap in high-purity metallurgical casting and directional thermal processing. Built for aerospace-grade super alloys, advanced reactive metals, and precision mono crystalline components, Magnalenz replaces human variance and decoupled processing with a fully synchronized, closed-loop ecosystem. The system unifies induction melting, automated visual inspection, and dynamic motor-driven tilting with a rail-guided resistance heating and cooling furnace that operates directly inside the vacuum chamber. Governed by an onboard artificial intelligence suite that continuously interprets high-resolution thermal imaging, pressure, and vacuum telemetry, Magnalenz dynamically optimise liquid-metal pouring profiles, mould preheating, and controlled crystalline solidification. The result is an industrially robust, zero-defect casting system that delivers uncompromising micro structural integrity, peak material utilisation, and repeatable metallurgical excellence.
Three core mechanical and digital integrations:
Internal Preheating & Solidification Unit: A secondary, motorised resistance furnace traverses on precision rails directly into the primary vacuum chamber. It handles both high-temperature mould preheating prior to casting and programmable, multi-stage cooling post-pour, keeping the entire thermal lifecycle within a continuous vacuum.
Computer Vision & Telemetry: Dual high-temperature stereoscopic cameras visually inspect and verify furnace charge loading, crucible condition, and bath fluidity. In parallel, ultra-sensitive vacuum gauges, optical pyrometers, and multi-point immersion thermoplastic feed uninterrupted telemetry to the central controller.
AI-Guided Pouring Dynamics: Instead of a rigid, pre-programmed tilt profile, Magnalenz utilizes a closed-loop neural controller. By tracking melt volume, liquid stream curvature, meniscus turbulence, and mould cavity back-fill rates in real time, an electric servomotor tilts the crucible at the precise angular velocity needed to achieve laminar, spatter-free pouring under vacuum.
User Benefits:
Zero Scrap Due to Human Error: Eliminates inconsistent manual pouring speeds, late tilts, and pouring-induced gas entrapment.
Operator Safety: Completely removes personnel from radiant heat zones, molten splash risks, and pressurized degassing hazards.
Innovation-Complete Digital Traceability: Unlike conventional Vacuum Furnace that rely on external mould preheating, manual sight-glasses and fixed-rate tilting.Every casting-cycle logs a digital twin comprising full vacuum profiles, temperature curves, tilt kinematics, and camera footage for NADCAP, aerospace, and medical compliance.
