ALARCO VITA is a family of countertop water filters developed around three priorities: modern design in a compact footprint, ease of use for customers and technicians, and activated carbon quality that combines filtration performance with a maximum flow of 3 L/min.

The defining design decision is the inclined body. It leans towards the sink, positioning the outlet towards the area where users draw filtered water. A curved base supports the body in this position and follows its form, giving the product a recognisable silhouette.

Both versions measure 38 centimetres high, 10 centimetres wide and 15 centimetres deep. Silver paint finishes the ABS body, while water passes through a brass outlet. The outlet's upper cap and the cartridge housing also use ABS.

For customers, a tap diverter allows selection between normal tap water and filtered water. Alternatively, a separate countertop control provides operation independently of the kitchen tap. In both configurations, the filter remains on the kitchen countertop.

For technicians, maintenance access forms part of the design. Retaining bands release a removable rear cover, exposing the cartridge and its quick connections. An ALARCO service technician follows the same replacement procedure for both versions, taking approximately five minutes, followed by five minutes of flushing. Replacement is recommended every six months under normal mains water conditions, or earlier if water quality requires it.

The compact cartridge combines polypropylene media with coconut shell activated carbon impregnated with bacteriostatic silver. ALARCO selected the carbon for its filtration characteristics, supporting effective filtration within the limited cartridge volume. The polypropylene media are specified at 100, 10 and 1 micrometres. The manuals specify a bacteriostatic silver impregnation level of 0.05% for the coconut shell activated carbon. Both models are intended for potable cold water.

VITA operates on water pressure without electricity. VITA UV adds an integrated UVC LED module and requires electrical power. Its drainage line removes retained water, with the design aim of supporting ultraviolet treatment from the start of the next draw.

Designed in 2026 by Christos and Giorgos Papadopoulos, the family awaits market launch. Its contribution connects product form with everyday use and recurring maintenance.
