Children’s interests, comprehension and activity needs change as they grow, calling for companion products that can adapt over time. Yundo is an AI companion robot that helps children discover their interests, explore new subjects and express themselves. It combines reconfigurable modular hardware, age-specific AI agents and a dedicated AI model to adapt its physical configurations, interactions and learning content to different developmental stages. The design respects individual differences and supports children as they learn and explore at their own pace.

Yundo’s modular hardware allows users to switch between bipedal and wheeled configurations and exchange functional modules. The robot automatically recognizes each connected module and adjusts its motion control, interaction modes and task content to support conversation, hands-on activities and exploration in different settings. A large head, small body and rounded contours give the robot a distinctive appearance with minimal angular detail or decoration. The light-colored body features orange accents and a black facial display, where cyan expressions make responses easy to see. Its familiar face remains recognizable across configurations. Replaceable modules also support repairs and component replacement, helping extend product life and reduce the need to discard the entire robot.

Yundo’s large-scale AI model is tailored to children. Interaction feedback supports ongoing fine-tuning and refinement, helping the robot adapt its responses to each child’s changing interests, communication habits, comprehension and learning pace. Through continued use, Yundo develops a deeper understanding of individual needs. Ongoing software and content updates complement the modular hardware, allowing families to expand functionality and activities as their children grow.
